Photographic works developed for a particular place.

Purcell creates commissioned works in response to particular locations and environments, extending the visual language of his existing series into new places.

Photography taken on location provides the foundation for each work, capturing the landscape, architecture, light and atmosphere of the setting.

In the studio, these images are developed through a process of digital construction and compositing, introducing imagined forms that respond to the character of the place.

The resulting work can be developed as a single statement piece or as a small collection, with scale, framing and presentation considered in relation to the environment.

Purcell works with private collectors, interior designers, architects and hospitality clients on selected commissions.
